A Snapshot of Vancouver, Canada
Vancouver is one of the world’s most liveable cities! Here are some photos and things we’ve done in our first month.

Northland is so close to those who live or visit Auckland, but for some reason few people really scratch the surface. It’s such a shame, as it’s a region with so much to offer and lots of hidden gems.
The last stop on our Mexican sojourn was the lovely little island of Isla Mujeres, off the coast of Cancun. With stunning beaches, cheap tacos, cute colourful houses, and golf carts for hire, what more could you want!
The Yucatan Peninsula is filled with holes. Sinkholes that is, or cenotes in Spanish. A lovely cool place to visit during the heat of the day in Tulum!
Tulum = Paradise. Think pure white sand, warm turquoise water, good food, and some Mayan ruins thrown in the mix.
Going SCUBA diving in Cozumel was awesome. The water was warm, the coral was pretty, and we saw heaps of sea life including a couple of turtles!
We were up in Maine and had five days to get back to New York City. Where could we go? The great thing about camping in the northeast is that there are literally hundreds of campsites to choose from, but that makes it even harder to decide where to go!
We’d been keen to visit Portland, Maine ever since meeting a Portland native in Koh Tao, Thailand last year. This small city is hailed as a culinary hotspot of northeast USA, and that alongside the scenic beauty of Maine was enough to get us excited!
We spent a couple of days meandering around Montreal and Quebec City. We loved the European feel of the cities and delicious local produce!
We set off into the wilderness of Vermont with our tiny rental car and $40 Wal-Mart tent. We discovered a green land filled with lovely scenery. Wonderful!
Our trip to Fiji happened because I won a competition – but we had to change our plans a bit. Unfortunately we didn’t make the best choices for our budget!
We’ve been in the USA for a while now, and we’ve noticed some funny differences between here and our home country of New Zealand. Here’s the breakdown!
It started with an ill-fated trip to the mall, in which we wandered past the travel agent which was advertising round the world airfares. We were hooked.
Sometimes it’s tough to know what to take on a trip. This post covers some essential basics that you should always have in your backpack or suitcase!
Campervan road trips are the best way to see New Zealand. Here we cover the West Coast north of Punakaiki, Kahurangi National Park, Abel Tasman, Nelson Lakes and more!
Seeing New Zealand by campervan on a road trip is the best! This post covers Taupo, Canterbury, Queenstown, and the southern part of the West Coast.
