Do you prefer an adrenaline rush or relaxation? Here are the best things to do for 36 hours in Whistler, Canada, during the off-season!
Fall in Vancouver is pretty darn wet. On one rainy Saturday we decided to embrace the watery world of another kind and visit the Vancouver Aquarium!
Vancouver is one of the world’s most liveable cities! Here are some photos and things we’ve done in our first month.
Northland is so close to those who live or visit Auckland, but for some reason few people really scratch the surface. It’s such a shame, as it’s a region with so much to offer and lots of hidden gems.
So you’re thinking about moving to Canada? Great idea! This guide gives you all the information you need to know about visas, insurance, accommodation etc.
The last stop on our Mexican sojourn was the lovely little island of Isla Mujeres, off the coast of Cancun. With stunning beaches, cheap tacos, cute colourful houses, and golf carts for hire, what more could you want!
The Yucatan Peninsula is filled with holes. Sinkholes that is, or cenotes in Spanish. A lovely cool place to visit during the heat of the day in Tulum!
Tulum = Paradise. Think pure white sand, warm turquoise water, good food, and some Mayan ruins thrown in the mix.
Going SCUBA diving in Cozumel was awesome. The water was warm, the coral was pretty, and we saw heaps of sea life including a couple of turtles!
We jumped on the opportunity to release baby turtles into the ocean while we were in Cozumel, Mexico! It was one of the most amazing things we’ve ever done!
We aren’t usually big resort holiday-makers, but we saw the all-inclusive Fiesta Americana Cozumel’s new renovations and a special deal and we thought we would give it a go!
We were up in Maine and had five days to get back to New York City. Where could we go? The great thing about camping in the northeast is that there are literally hundreds of campsites to choose from, but that makes it even harder to decide where to go!
We’d been keen to visit Portland, Maine ever since meeting a Portland native in Koh Tao, Thailand last year. This small city is hailed as a culinary hotspot of northeast USA, and that alongside the scenic beauty of Maine was enough to get us excited!
Back in the USA from our brief foray into Canada, we headed into central New Hampshire and the White Mountains region. Bears, streams, and mountains, oh my!
We spent a couple of days meandering around Montreal and Quebec City. We loved the European feel of the cities and delicious local produce!
